Samuel Rouesnel, or by his stage name “Samuelito”, is one of the world’s most virtuoso and fascinating guitarists. Born in 1993, he starts studying classical guitar at the age of seven, but very quickly, he discovers his passion for world music and particularly for Spanish traditional and popular music.
While still a teenager, Samuelito decides to pursue his studies in two fields and to receive two diplomas, one in Classical guitar and the other in Flamenco guitar. Very quickly, he is discovered by some of the greatest masters of flamenco, world music, and jazz, such as Paco de Lucía, Tomatito, Vicente Amigo, Ramón Sanchez, Roland Dyens, and Ibrahim Maalouf. These encounters will lead Samuelito to new artistic paths, and little by little, he will become one of today’s most eclectic and singular guitarists.
Samuelito’s first public concert, at the age of sixteen, is broadcast on National TV and he immediately becomes an international sensation. Following this appearance, he is invited to perform all over the world, in some of the greatest festivals and venues, with many renowned artists and groups.
Both a performer and a composer, Samuelito has developed a unique, original, and captivating style as a Flamenco guitarist. Frequently invited to accompany the world’s most important Flamenco singers and dancers, both in Spain and internationally, he also leads an exceptional career in other musical fields, such as Classical, Jazz, Blues, Celtic and Rock music.
Despite his young age, Samuelito has already released several albums, all praised by the press and awarded various prizes. His numerous talents have also led him to take part in a series of other projects, such as composing and recording film music, as well as giving masterclasses in Classical and Flamenco guitar, in numerous countries.
