Nathan Vandenbulcke
Recognised as one of the most talented drummers of the new generation, Nathan Vandenbulcke stands out for his bold, free-spirited and innovative musical style. Born in Nantes, he began learning music at the age of seven, starting with percussion. At the age of eleven, he enrolled at the Nantes Conservatoire, where he followed a dual course in classical percussion and jazz drums.
From his very first steps, his musical talent became apparent and he began performing on stage as a teenager. Very quickly, his mentors were amazed by his virtuosity, his rhythmic mastery and his phenomenal improvisational skills.
After graduating from the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne, he was awarded the Talent and Creativity Prize by the Fondation Casino Barrière de Montreux.
He was soon sought after by famous jazz and rock artists, who invited him to perform on various tours. He has performed with Louis Matute, Robinson Khoury, Moncef Genoud, Lady Bazaar and Marino Palma. He regularly performs at major European festivals, such as Montreux Jazz, JazzOnze+, JazzContreBand, Cully Jazz, Jazz à Juan and many others.
Fascinated by the fusion of diverse musical genres, he has been involved in projects ranging from jazz to electronic music, including pop and rap. With his band Mohs, he has recorded three albums that have been highly acclaimed by the Swiss and international press: Sonic Poetry, Mirage and, more recently, Baïne.
