Puppeteer

Laure-Isabelle Blanchet trained as an actress at the Ecole Supérieure d'Art dramatique de Genève and specialised in puppetry at the Théâtre des Marionnettes de Genève from 2005 onwards, as a puppeteer, constructor, director and head of the TMG collection. In 2013, she founded Le Cockpit and designed several shows in co-production with the TMG, Am Stram Gram-Geneva and the Théâtre de Marionnettes de Lausanne. At the same time, she collaborates with the classical ensemble Geneva Camerata and the directors Angélique Friant, Julie Annen and Emilie Bender. In 2016, she obtained a CAS-Dramaturgy and performance of the text at UNIL-Lausanne and organised the exhibition Le Fil d'une passion for the TMG and the SIG as a curator. Since 2019, she has been commissioned annually by the Geneva Municipal Libraries to host a literary prize. She regularly tours with her shows for young audiences in Switzerland and abroad.
